Nelson Mandela Day

He was the man who inspired a whole continent, and united it's people.  He made a great and deep impact in Africa.  From there, he carried on to inspire and influence a whole new generation of people all over the planet. Not even the prison (he served 27 years) could keep him from touching the lives of many.  He is held in deep respect in South Africa and he is lovingly called by his Xhosa clan name Madiba.  He did excel as a boxer and a runner in college.  And he believed that sports would be a way to connect South Africans.  He is Nelson Mandela.
